it could not have to do with them necessarily but possibly a bad registry entry or corrupt data somewhere on the HD i suggest if you have norton utilities run win doctor then speed disk then win doctor once more after speed disk they fix many problems if you dont have speed disk or win doctor you can get Norton Utils for fairly cheap at best buy now and if you dont wanna do that than use the disk repair that came with your version of windows and also use the disk defragger that came with Windows.  Hopefully this will help you  not positive you could try uninstalling the 4 in 1's and try reinstalling too

i tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice to the same end. i had just freshly installed xp on a smack brand new hd. i think i also may have installed a couple of apps or games, but i have 4 partitions and everything is seperate. i dont think it was anything on my hd, but i guess it could be my motherboard bios or something to that effect.

:s29: Arrrghhh!!

The AGPmem is telling me that I have 0 total and 0 free.
This should not be happening!!!
As suggested by a RavenSoft readme for Soldier Of Fortune 2, the way to fix this was to Update the BIOS drivers for the motherboard.
I already have the latest drivers, for my bios, my graphics card, my O.S and my games but still it tells me I have nothing.
I get a range of framerates between 15 - 60 fps.
Any suggestions would be more than welcome!

My specs are:

Athlon XP 2100
768 MB SDRAM
Motherboard: ASUS A7A266-E
Creative Geforce4ti 4400 128mb DDR
SoundBlaster Live 1024
20 Gb HD

:D
It's alright, I've sorted it (mostly)
It was due to the Ali chipset on my board not fully initialising AGP.

i ve found after trying all settings mixing, with geforce 3 series:
..turning fog off will provide at least 7 fps and above to 20 or more fps on some systems(isnt that weired,it supposes to elevate fps not degrade it since it alternates textures).
..turning off lens flare provide at least 4 fps.
..turning off antistorpic filtering provide at least 3 fps.
..the shadows also provide a huge boost of preformance in fps when in action,so turn it off.
..advanced texturing also provide at least 2 fps when turned off.
..bilinear settings frees also 2 fps.
the best fps and visuals i had with this settings on a sys with p3 1000 and 256 rdram and gf3 ti200 64 and win 98se and harddrive 40 7200 and sblive value sound card:
light flare disabled
res1024
fullscreen yes
texture quality high
texture filter bilinear
vertical sync on
antistorpic off
fsaa off
ui tex Q high
colors 32 bit
alias shaders off
advanced texturing off
curve subdivisions high
image ,alpha format dxt5
model detail high
shadow quality off
fog off
shell casting on
decals excessive
image.sound,model none
curve detail high
effect overdraw highest
low end machine false
gore excessive
max image quality high
sound direct sound,22,dynamic,high

wish u luck with this great game (that need more much development in visual preformance ratio)

how can I turn anti-aliasing off?? someone said I should download nvidia detos (sof2 won't start ("NULL src")) and turn anti-aliasing off to get better fps...

GeForce 4 ti4400 128MB DDR, and fps around 20-35 usually.
i downloaded the little program which shows the free AGP memory and I got this:

AGP Memory: Total 134217727 Free 128902361

So I think I have enough AGP memory free, but still it just almost freezes when someone comes to my screen.

Amd athlon xp 2000+ 256 DDR sb live 5.1

Well I'm on a low end machine and need some help. I'm running on Compaq I'm running SoF2 Gold single player for the first time using an updated bios. And I got the "AGP Memory is at zero" error. I ran a nVidia test and sure enough I have zero AGP memory. My video card is a Voodoo 3 2000. I read at several sites that particlar card only has AGP 2x and no AGP texturing. Now here is my question.

Do I even have AGP memory on this card ? If I do then how do I change those settings in my bios. I know how to get into my bios but have no idea how to change most of the values. Someone mentioned the bios on a compaq limits what you can do. Is there a external program I could use to change my bios settings if needed ?

Here is my set up

BIOS  Phoenix Technologies Ltd. 09/22/2000
Nominal Clock Speed  Athlon 500 MHz
RAM installed 384 MB
Free space 22296 MB (73%)
Windows 98se

some help would be great.
