| Quote (SlitherSly @ June 12 2002, 11:46) | | I have a motherboard which came with my COMPAQ Presario Desktop. I've got a Gefroce3ti200 and get an average of 40 fps, lowest is in Prague with around 15. Anyways, I have a bios which seemingly limits what I can do, and I see no option or anything that even relates to AGP. Can anyone give me any suggestion as to how I would check my appeture size and/or change it? Any suggestions would be appreciated. |
are you sure your vid card is agp and not pci? |

maybe try to update your bios, but the truth is; this probably isn't the problem anyway- I've tried different aperture settings on mine and several other rigs and there just wasn't any increase in frame rates- but that doesn't mean it won't work for you- good luck- |

BIG QUESTION is this a problem only with users with NVIDIA GEFORCE @ TI owners .. i must say the game runs alot better on my other system .. geforce 2 gts 64 meg card in it .. what sucks is i want to run the game with my newer system .. it has the same identical motherboard /bios and all in it .. but it also has a 128 meg geforce 3 ti 200 in it ..why would the game run faster on an older generation vid card .. with half the vid memory on the card ? then on a nearly identical system with a new 128 meg card in it .. i just got e mail from keith sayin WOW your renderer is getting abused .. and he pointed me back to this topic .. thanks frfo tryin to help Keith but i posted in this thred last night .. and yes i have a decent showing with the AGP test utility please see my numbers in the first e mail i sent as well as the ones in the post i made last night in this thred .. i have no problems with any of my other games at all ..could it be the game needs to be optimized for this geforce 3 ti 200 series card ..this 128 meg card flys with everything else .. |

also keith i can send you a screen shot doing exactly as you told me earlier to try .. from that other system .. it has the following confiration p 3 933 same motherboard in the e mail i sent .. but it does have a bit more ram .. still 256 should be enough for single player .. vid card is an abit siluro geforce 2 gts 64 meg ddr card (dude it's two freakin years old too) thaTS USEING THE DETONATOR DRIVER VERSION 23.11 STILL I BELIVE .. and the frame rates are at least triple what you saw in the screens i sent ya from the system that has the geforce 3 ti 200 128 meg card installed in it ..and that vid card i just got last week .. i know it's not two years old .. http://www.dvcentury.com/Merchan....=669899 |
