Hello Sloan

"Water Closet" became popular to describe rooms that had "flushing toilets."  There was once this well know plumber in London who specialized in these named "Thomas Crapper."  (No need to explain what word evolved from his name).  Nothing like your last name becoming immortalized in the English language, hehe.

Yeah, dunny is Australian slang for the Outhouse, although “the Loo” is a more popular term for the Water Closet.

Now now you have more to ponder next time nature calls.

And in Dutch the official word for toilet paper is Closet Papier, or Closet paper, lol

but better is to say Plee Papier, where Plee is "slang" for Toilet and Papier means duh paper

TP TP

Anyways could someone rename this thread to

"SoF 2: WC & TP Talk" or whatever?

I was really expecting a thread full of screenies of "easter eggs" :)
sure...

The first time you get to go into the shop and explore, you can catch a women in the female washroom. I had no idea I was in the wrong washroom till I met her...lol....

If you browse through the contents of the pk3s, you'll see that the padlock texture for the password button is named WOOT.jpg.

What about "water closet"? I know I've heard this before, anyone know where it comes from? Its hilariously fun to use in every day conversation.

Water closet may be the result of "Hong Nahm". It means water room in Thai.

Hong Nahm teenai?= Where is the water room (toilet)

I learned it as "suam yuu teenai (khrap)", isn't it always "yuu-teenai" to say "where is" ?
