Ramrod... Let's call a spade a spade. Excessive? That's insane! That's what that is. Re-formatting every month is just a friggin joke! I mean....I'm "careful" with my activities and all..but I get a bit slipshod every once in a while as most of us do. And if I have to face a format c: sitch every 6 months I consider that pretty well excessive!! It's just such a biscuit eater that I try to avoid it. And, btw...doin' it for a raid(anyvalue) is exponentially bitchy. Oh...and to respond to the poster...ya got some quality components there. HDD I mighta sacrificed size for speed maybe..and go for the bigger output power supply. Just thoughts..its late and I'm a bit in the bag and cant remember all the thread -Gin
