Ok I've read here on the forum that it was better to download GtkRadiant instead of the SDK.

So I've download:

GtkRadiantSetup-1[1].2.11-SOF2.exe

and

GtkRadiantSetup-1.2.13-update.exe

When I load my old map, I get alot of shader errors and all my modells are replaced by red squares .

Also some textures have become red with black quares in them. Is this just a quik setting that I can adjust somewhere?

And the most important thing how do I compile?
When I go to the dropdown menu I see alot of different ways to compile 80.

I tryed the Fullvis but I get a message:

The connection timed out blah blah blah..... Disable BSP monotoring in prefs. I disabeld it but nothing happens [cry]

Who can help me to get this program work? Otherwise I will go back to the SDK wich worked much easyer IMO.

Frank

If you already know this then please disregard.

If you are multiplayer mapping, you may need to change youre project settings. To do this, click on file then project settings and change the mapping mode to multiplayer.

as for the bsp monitoring, press "p" to bring up preferences, click on "bsp monitoring" and uncheck the button "enable bsp process monitoring".You may also need to restart the editor. I know you said you disabled it but I was just checking. Sorry

As for missing textures, if you are using custom textures and shaders then these must be placed in the sof2 base directory with the correct folder names.

I only use 2 bsp functions, "novis" (which takes 2 to 5 mins and makes the map full bright) to test the map for overlapping brushes and leaks and "fullvis" which is the final bsp process before you release youre map. Well actually I use 3, "fastvis 1/2" to check my lighting.

Hope some of this at least will be of help.
