well first my system:

windows xp professional
AMD Athlon 1.2GHz
VIA Chipset
512MB RAM
ATI Radeon8500 64MB
SB LIVE 5.1

all the most recent drivers, patches and versions.

never had ANY problems with ANY games. last game ive played was jediKnight2Outcast on 1280x1024 all gfx settings on highest possible setting. never were under 80fps.

SOF2 now does stutter whenever im in a combat. sumtimes even without combat. interesting detail: it seems not to make any difference what details and what resolution i have. so i think its a minor bug or a cpu issue?!

well i have lent this game from a friend of mine because i wanted to check it out before buying it and to be honest - right now it does frustrate more than enjoys me.

oh - almost forgot: interesting detail but SOF2 says i have a r200 ati card. well it even does not recognize my gfx card or does sof2 not recognize radeon cards? jeeeeeeeeeeez

Do you have the AMD patch for turbo AGP and the Radeon fix that was posted yesterday by ATI?

i agree with something he said,.,,,,
no matter what my resolution or settings i get the same performance.
 im convinced its not a resource problem....  i have 94% system resources free on a clean boot ! 800+mb of FREE system ram !(i have 1024mb of rdramm) and not to mention a geforce 4 ti4600 128mb.pentium4 1.7
i have more ram than god and the resources are free...i get 90 to 100 fps in the barn on the mansion board ,when im alone,i move out of the room into the yard where the character models are 30 fps,someone gets alerted to me and starts shooting 12 fps.
its gotta be something to do with the ai or the models themselves being rendered.
cant wait till this nightmare is over and we can all get together to talk about how KICK ASS this game is!

i astarted the game with 94% system resources free,
i then got into a fire fight with fps in the 20's
  hit alt enter to get back to my desktop ,the board reloaded,and continued,same fps,
went to control panel/system/
had 78% system resources free!! while my game was bottoming out at 8 fps....
hows that for investigative reporting

Turn off v-sync, set your anti-liasing to zero in the game options, and do the same in control panel. See if that helps...

I have an idea, go play Morrowind and you will rejoice to get 20 FPS!!!  Thats a buggy game.

Well i have just checkde out your suggestions but i have to tell you that sof2 still stutters WHENEVER im in a combat situation. in the second i shot it stutters like H-E-L-L.
ever tried to hit a huey while sof2 stuttering as on a pentium I without mmx?! usually i do call this "dia-show" ...

horrible?

any further ideas?
