As some have found out by now, there is an issue with Kyro II video cars and not rendering fog in MP RMGs.  I think this might explain my better than average playing one time.  But I'm not sure about clipping distance.

I'm looking for someone with a Geforce based video card, that is willing to spend about 5 minutes testing with me.

Unfortunatly, I'm still at work, so I don't have details on a server or an exact time, but I'm aiming for around 6pm EST.

The goal of this is to see if fog is just cosmetic, or if it does obscure more than the clipping distance.

Thanks.

From what I have noticed while playing and using the TV goggles, you can see *very* far with the TVs, but when you take them off, the fog blocks quite a bit.

A few times I have tried using the TVs to find a target, then switch to my sniper rifle and scope in on the spot where the person was, but without the TVs, all I saw was a pure white screen from the fog.

Not sure if that is the kind of data you are looking for, but those have been my observations with a geforce 4 ti4600.

Ok, how about this.  Here is an MP seed:

Type: Inflitration
Terrain: Desert
Time: Day
Size: Small
Seed: 0

Go to the first tower, up to the corner of the balcony, and take a screenshot please.  And compare it to this:

I have nowhere to upload the pic to, but you DEFINATELY have a distinct advantage!

I captured it and you can see about 10x farther.

Wow pictures do speak a thousand words.  That sucks for the rest of us walking around in a fog.  I was wondering why we always have to have foggy days.  This would be a nice option for a server to toggle off or on.  Maybe there is and I dont know it? :s13:

That's currently a matter of discussion - whether or not a server-side option to disable RMG fog will be added to a later build of SoF2.

Personally, I'd like to see my drivers fixed.  Thanks for the help.

Are you kidding me, that looks so much better without the fog it isn't funny, I find the fog to be a major eye strain.
