I was trying to play a jungle CTF game (my fav) today, and the 3 servers I jumped into, had freakin' night maps...arrgghh.

IMO, daytime jungle CTF is by far the best. Am I the minority here?

BTW, if the NV goggles had a limited battery supply, the night maps would be much better. Otherwise the entire game is played in monochrome green. It would be much more strategic if the NV and Therms had limited usage...battery runs low, take them off and they slowly recharge. Then you would have to conserve your power - much more exciting I think.

I love night maps, helps add to the mood of the game, plus it makes it harder to see people when they're in areas that are not lit up, makes it that much harder :)

I like both, but at night at least I can blame dying all the time because I can't see well :) eeheeeheheh   Fog and night are both good, now and then... what would be a killer is thermal goggles that worked with the sniper rifle... that would be deadly... NV and a sniper rifle is so so to me....
Night and fog are like having different maps...  every time the Shop map comes up, its voted out or I will drop out.. the beta testing was great, but I don't want to see it for a few months again....

hey breycor, i hate night maps, always have in any game, i like it bright, large, and no fog (hmm wont be gettin that in sof2 then)

I still think for outdoor action the delta force games (mostly land warrior) are the best online, easily, but sof has cool features, like the grass.

I like night maps sparsely interspersed within normal day maps.  Multiple night maps in a row, or even every other map being a night map is a bit too much for me (too much staring at the green screen), but maybe one in five maps being night or something is a good thing for me.

Not sure, as I've never been Flash-bang'd with NV goggles on - do they affect you more (ie. long term whiteout because of the light amplification)?  If not, shouldn't they?  I've never worn NV goggles IRL so I couldn't say if they have some sort of tolerance for a such a situation.

Of course getting in close enough with an FB on a map filled with NV/IR wearing snipers really sux   >:)

Cheers!

I love night maps, but no thermals, only NV. Thermals unbalance the game at any time with their use.

I'd take thermals over NV any day. Thermals don't have the limitations like the NV's.
