It is curious that the MP5 is not in the game anywhere.  I am not screaming 'false advertising' or anything, but come on - it's in the box art.  Is it secretly hidden somewhere within the game?

!!PRAISE!! - The installation process was wonderful.  I hope more games pay attention to what Raven accomplished.  It's not easy to keep people entertained while installing software.  GREAT JOB.  REALLY.

??QUESTION?? - Now why did the Soviets have the Grease Gun in level 1?  I just do not understand that one.  If anyone knows, please enlighten me.

Thanks to Raven's development team.  I hope you guys are getting a much needed break.

the MP5 is not in the game afaik.
the box art is cool, and they probably chose it because it reflects the "essence of SoF2", which is.. shooting people and looking tough while you're doing it.

well, dont bother me, the mp5 is probably not John Mullins idea of a good gun, and this game was based on that guys list of guns and what not, not like cs or a tom clancy game where its based on special forces on a whole, sof2 is based on one mans story in a realistic way.

What?! You mean John Mullins never fried any members of Saddam's personal bodyguard with a microwave gun? Heresy I say!  ;)

Probably should have the guy holding an M4 or the shotgun then.

So many people have complained probably because there was an unmet expectation - that's all.

I know that the marketing department most likely made the decision about the box art to capitalize on the mindshare of those games that were mentioned earlier.

I love this game.  I just like to call attention to boldface lying by marketing departments.  But hey, it won't be the last time.

Now where's my new teal M&Ms? :s18:

Oh yeah - It's not that I actually MISS the MP5.  It is in every other game available.  Just curious is all.

and no one has an answer for why the soviets are using the American-made 'Grease-Gun' exclusively in level 1?  C'mon guys, don't disappoint me now.

The grease gun question is an interesting one. For all intents and purposes they would have been using AK-47's, or more likely the AK-74 (a good portion of the Soviet military budget went to equipment funds for safe houses for the KGB and Intelligentsia)that we dont get to play with until later. At least I assume the Prague sequence takes place in the late 70's or early 80's.
