I think it is a great game. Graphically and feature wise this game adds to the fps arena of games. The various different game types, the models, the tracers and stuff from guns, the grenade and other explosions, the radar of where your buddies are, the voting system the graphics and random seed generator for the maps. This game deserves much higher rating than MOH or RTCW and it isn't even close. SOF2 wins hands down. Personally I think the reviews of MOH and RTCW are purely biased with very little to back up their reviews. Neither of the above mentioned games do anything to bring anything new to these games. |

I voted for "great game". There are some patches needed for sure. But for whats here, and what SOF 2 is, its a great game. In some ways like graphically as far as the characters details, and jungle level stuff, A.I., SOF 2 does add to the genre. And in ways SOF 2 does not IMHO. I have only played up to the mansion level. But so far the experience has been really too tight an onrail experience for me. I hope the later levels start to get less mouse to cheese restrictive. Or broken up so much. Alot of tiny level loads for whatever reason. The jungle levels in their defence really felt immersive for whats there. If I had to hazard a guess I`d say the sp RMG and multiplayer with its RMG is what saves/makes the game itself. H*ll, Raven could have just delivered the RMG/ SP part of the game, added co op support to co op the sp RMG map missions, and the multiplayer part of the game with no actual sp game at all, and that would have been coolness. I wouldn`t have missed the sp part of the game with just those features alone. I skipped over all the supposed big name games that arrived of late just to wait for SOF 2. And I am glad I did. SOF 2 came out at just the right time. Multi is loads of fun with the right players. SOF 2 actually FEELS like a military combat game this time. I`d like to say I think the puzzles of how to progress thru a level are well thought out, make sense, and fit into the storyline really well too. All in all a good to great game experience. |

its a brilliant game, the more you play the more you learn of the AI performance and how good it is, the ghoul 2 engine and how gory it is, and the random map generators sheer fun factor.
I think multiplayer alone makes this game great, and you get amazing single player in the same box, makes you wonder about games like "Global operations", same price as sof2, but no single player and the multiplayer aint as good as sof 2, hmm |
