Reading through the forums, I get the feeling that AMD processors have more problems than Intels. This is to put some numbers to that impression.

I've sworn by intel and this is the first problem i've had with my rig. Correction, first gameplay crippling problem I've had with a game.

I've got an AMD Athlon T-bird 1.4ghz and it runs so-so...the FPS goes way down to 15 in some SP levels, but in randomly gennerated missions it's a bit better, still dips down to around 20fps sometimes, but it's somewhat tolerable...

Unfortunalty, I have a rather slow processor, 350@400, so the game tells me it can't be run. Does someone no if I can run it anyway? The demo works fine so it shouldn't be a problem... or? Thanks...

The "can't be run" thing was part of the stolen beta - wasn't it? There is a registry hack (available on MS' KB) for XP users and a Win2k patch at AMD for people using AMD chips and AGP applications... it's a basic requirement for anyone playing games with an AMD chip and an MS OS.

Runs fine on my system with all options maxed running 4 sample AA and highest level of anisotropic filtering. The framerate dips every now and then, but that's to be expected.
