Guys,

Ok, heres the thing. Some of you are bashing the game and some of you are defending. Par for the course in any PC gaming forum. However, defending Raven and then demanding that people turn their settings down ( which no one wants to do....) to get performance on a super gaming rig is simply not going to cut it. How can you tell someone to turn down the settings when they have a high end machine? It just doesnt make sense. Think about it. You get a guy on here and he's all " yeah i got Geforce 4 ti4600 and AMD XP athlon 2200  and 512 ddr and..." It does not make sense for this person to have to turn down the settings. The game should run at full blast and never EVER drop below 60 fps. If they cant optimize for that its delays or they shouldnt release the game. Period. We get beta's all the freakin time. Now, one thing to consider too is the fact that most guys on here that have systems like that just have configuration or update issues that need attention and they could solve the problem. However, there is a creepy number of what seems to be smart guys on here with nice rigs who feel theyve been wronged for shelling out the fifty and having to play a game looking worse on a rocket PC than on N64. It aint right. So, my point is just because you like Raven and SOF2 ( I mean come on...were gonna biscuit eater but play it anyway...;) dont start flaming these guys or tell them to turn their stuff doen caus it just makes you sound bad. Thats my rant.

A well-spoken, lucid stance. Allow me to direct anyone experiencing such problems to this thread.

I do have a question for all these people with low frame rates.  What sort of Monitor do you have.  If you have a POS monitor with a horrible refresh rate, your FPS is going to suffer.  Try changing the refresh rate of your monitor and see if that helps.

I really don't think your monitor is going to make a difference as far as FPS go. FPS is going to be based mainly on Vid Card and CPU..and RAM to some extent.

The thing is that alot of today's games are being designed for tomorrow's hardware. Unreal 2 and Comanche 4 are perfect examples. They are being designed for 3.5 GHZ and up systems. These new Q3 engined FPSs are very CPU dependent. You may have to turn down some settings to run SOF2 well. Even with a P4 2.5 or XP2200+

But i solved the problem..i returned it and bought grand theft auto 3..which installed and played smooth the first try..maybe raven soft should hire some people from there development team.

Calm down, guys.

However - I don't see the problem with telling "uberriggers" to turn down certain settings.
This game is primarily designed for next-gen rigs, or so we've been told.

Psycho,

You're not referring to me are you?? I certainly hope not. Also, the game should be able to run with a decent framerate now. Personally, I know how PC games are and I dont really care. If you're hardcore ( and most " hardcore" types have POS machines...its NOT the other way around...) then you just play, keep the bitching and pee-peeing to a minumum and have fun. #### I get down to 13-10 FPS sometimes. Just gotta do it. I could see this game rocking as far as FPS go in about two three years though, agree with you there. Anyways, you guys take care and dont get mad about any of this...
