I can't get past the install.  It usually, one time it locked up before this, locks up when asked for the first disc the second time during the installation.  
It freezes up and I can't even close the program with the Task Manager.  I ended up having to reboot my system.  When I got back into windows I tried to find the files in the start menu and they weren't there, then I found the executable in the sof2 folder and ran it.  It got to the point that said it was running for the first time and settings were set for optimal performance and all that, and then my system rebooted on its own.  
All my antivirus files are up to date and I haven't got anything like that, everything else works fine.  Anybody know what's going on or have any suggestions?

geforce2 ultra (most recent whql drivers installed)
256mb pc133 (yeah I know this sucks but I have a cheap intel mobo)
win2k with all critical updates and whatnot installed

hp 12x cd burner
creative 16x dvd

western digital 40gig caviar hard drive
400w psu

Did you disable your virus scanner during the install attempts?

We got the same freeze here on a few systems when Norton Antivirus was running in the background.  When we disabled it, the install ran fine.

Still no go, it stops responding when it asks for CD1 the second time at the end.  
The red biohazard is the pic on the install screen and it just sits there.  

When it asks for the first CD again at the end, if you end the installation there, will SoF2 not run anyway?

I've gotten a little into the game now, but I can't change the gamma, so it's really really dark, hehe

it's working alright though, I've finally gotten into the game and it's great.

the issue with the gamma is from directx, dxdiag says there is no memory for my 3d card so it thinks there isn't one there.  I've tried reinstalling and it still doesn't work, not sure how to fix it, no help from the microsoft forums so far.  I have to play everything really dark, jedi knight II will only run in safe mode, pain in the butt, but no one seems to be able to fix it.
