I'm back in the Texas shop after it has been taken over by terrorist.  I've done the first level without problem, then I exit through the elevator and found myself on level 2.

I have 2 options from there, the door on my right is locked.  Now, if I go straight foward, there's an explosion and the fire is blocking me.  On my left, I open a door and I'm able to kill the few thugs there, no worry.  But then, I get killed for no reason, the shot bypass my armor ALL the time and there's no one near(In sight).

This is a short map, x beeing our hero, o being the terrorist.
By standing were x is, I'm safe.

But here, I get wall shot somehow.  The hit bypass my armor and I die so fast that it's like if I had been headshot.

I'm able to delay the inevitable for 2 sec if I throw a grenade down the corridor and run.

But once I get there, sudden death again.  So far, in the game, if we aren't supose to go somewhere, we can't.  Raven has been nice enough not to kill us unless we're trying to walk in fire :o)  So I doubt that I'm not supose to go there.

So, anyone was able to do this?  Is there an other way I should know about that I over looked?

Thx for the help.

This is the exact bug I am experiencing as well. As far as I can tell, we are not being shot - as the health meter bottoms out instantly. It seems to be an instant death as a result of the AI coming to the knowledge that we are there (while they have their firefight with the shop guys).

I have asked many times for help with this, and have gotten nothing so far. I wish you the best of luck.

And do you see the bug at the same place or in other places in the game?

Also, have you found any work around? I don't feel like restarting the level just to see the same bug again.

Thx

Mine is the EXACT same place (see my post Gamestopper Bug). I have tried everything from restarting to reinstalling, jumping, running...on and on. I cannot get past it.

Sorry I cannot be of help. Lets hope Raven can do somehting before I have to return my copy (Grace period ends today).

Ehk. I hate to return one of their games. But I cannot wait for a month for a patch. And with no date on a patch....

Ah well.

I wonder if anyone was able to finish the game at all?

What system do you have?

Here's my spec.:
Duron 1Ghz
392MB
Geforce Mx-200 32MB
Sb live value
GA-7ZXE motherboard
And Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2.

I wonder how many more people has the same bug and don't post on this forum.  I made an account just for that and I wrote to Activision about it.

Mine:

Athlon 1.33
256 Megs Ram
GeForce Ti4200
SB Live Value
Windows 98 SE

Looks to me that the only real thing we have in common is the sound card. Somehow I doubt that could be the problem though, heh. Oh well.

It would seem strange to me if noone else had the problem. But as far as I know I was the first person to post on it.
Strangeness.

Please help us Raven!

I think most people don't even know or care to use this forum.

Anyhow, here's something dumb.  They give you an e-mail for tech. support in the readme that comes with the game.  I wrote to that e-mail, and I just got a reply from activision saying that I won't get a reply and that no one will look at it because I don't have the apropriate subject line.  Do I hate tech. Support.  Most companies have no clue on how to take care of their customers.  They shouldn't give an e-mail just like that when they won't read it.

I guess we'll be stuck with this until they make a patch.  You're lucky to be able to return it to the store, around here we can't do that, else, I would.  Maybe I should call activision and send it back to them. <grin>

Where do you live, Ravnox? Its awfully facist that you are not allowed to return faulty merchandise.

This really kicks my ass. I love Raven. I love SOF 1. I was on the boards for that game for almost a year.

I really hope they are doing allright - its not like them to release an FPS with so many bugs (at elast not in my many game experience).

Well, heres to hoping.

Montréal in Canada, it's against the law for them to take back software box that have been open or something in that line ;o)

And honestly...  What do shops who take the game back do with them?  The box has been open, the cd-key has probably been kept by the owner too..

Wow. Thats a bummer. I do love certain things about Canada though (mostly folk singers no other American has heard of).

As far as I know, they either put them back on the shelf, or return it to the manufacturer as defective.

As for keeping CD keys, thats a screwed up thing to do. Heck, when I take a game back, that usually means I want nothing to do with it ever again. I wonder why someone wh=ould keep the key. Pretty crappy thing to do.
