my specs:

AMD XP 1600 (1.41 ghz)
1 GB RAM (DDR 2100)
GeForce 4 TI4400
Win XP Pro

My multtplayer FPS is really good (80-100), but in single player it's dogsh!t most of the time with like 30-40...

Turning off anti-virus scanning is definitely a good idea while playing SOF2. If you're still having problems with low framerate on a good machine, please see this thread.

yup i just went with cntrl alt delete, saw which programs were running, to see if a lot were, then i went to my start up and disabled a lot of programs, then it runs great

I always run "EndItAll" before I fire up SOF2. For those of you who aren't aware of it, EndItAll automatically shuts down EVERYTHING in your background - and I do mean everything. Great little app to free up some resources before gaming ... wish I had a URL to post, but the little bastard is hard to find.

And that probably wasn't a fair number to post ... I'd say my FPS range is far wider ... like 30-90. To be honest with you, though, if I didn't have that cg_drawfps enabled, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between 30 and 90. Maybe I'm not as discerning. :s10:

There is a setting, maybe on advanced screen, that I had
set back to Medium textures. Our machines are similar. Also
you might need to turn off FSAA in Control Panel.
