I've run into this once I've gotten into the columbian jungles, a crash to desktop when the commander is sniped, and a crash to desktop when a grenade when off in front of me, at the second crash windows then crashed giving me an DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error, now I know that this is a driver issue, and I've traced it down to the beta 29.40 nVidia drivers.  

But, I'm unsure if this is related to a bad driver call from the game, but this is something for the Raven team to look at.  I'm going to try to duplicate this problem, as well as try a diffrent driver set.  I've also got an occasional slowdown bug, I'm thinking that this fits along with the driver.

So far I've tested several diffrent driver sets for the nVidia video card, 28.32 ref. drivers, 29.40, 29.20, 29.11, 28.35, 27.52, same problems with a crash to desktop with no error messages.  Mighty odd that, we used to call that the D3D crash, but...nothing I've noticed seems to cause the crash, simply walking, or shooting, running or getting hit can cause a crash.

My card isn't over heating, the AC unit(low power-seperate circut) that I use on it keeps my case around 25°C, even with a laser thermomiter the front and back of my GF3 gets 29-31C.

same here too , random crashes to desktop will multiple detonator xp drivers , might be os problem, trying compatibility mode...

overall fps not too shabby although it do slows down reall bad in busy moments/lots of background showing...
