First off, I can't believe I just wrote that subject line.

Secondly, I have everything set in what seems to be the appropriate way. Full violence, etc. But all I get is blood when shooting the bad guys, no stray body parts.

I've gone into the violence lock and enabled everything, but still the same result.

What's going on?

Btw, this is only one of many problems....

Thanks...

It is much more difficult to dismember enemies in SoF2 than in SoF2.
Heh, this sounds interesting, but shoot someone in the face a lot with a weapon and see if chunks start getting "removed".

I think this was the first thing I noticed about the new game.  In part one, just about everyone would fall apart with each kill.  In SOF2, it hardly happens at all.  :(  I know that you can pretty much dissect people after they're dead, but that gets old.  I would hope that by setting the gore to "excessive" in the options that it would really be excessive in the game.

The gore was "realisticalized" in SoF2.  It's more "realistic" this way.

No one wants realism. Too much realism just plain sux. This is a game. I say, when it comes to blood and already a bad rap for it in the previous game, go for gusto and load em up!

As I've played more, I've noticed that the gore is full on the head.  Just about every attack to the head causes disfigurement.

The rest of the body is different.  I've only been able to cause disfigurement after someone is dead.  I even shot someone point blank in the back of the knee with a shotgun (the USAS) and only the skin changed.

I belive the main purpose in that is the ablity to move the bodies around... if you didn't have a body, the feature would be useless.  Yet, I agree I prefer that over this... if I wanted that level of realistic combat... I would have been playing Ghost Recon right now.
