The developers of the Soldier of Fortune series, Quake IV, and many other great titles are shutting down their forums. They just redesigned their website and decided that they didn't want to continue the forums. There is no definite date of closure.. but it's gonna happen. CBernstein of Raven starts the closing thread : Everyone. We regret to inform you that we will be shutting down the message boards. The message boards on the forums.ravensoft.com website will be down for an indefinite period of time. Anyone coming from those forums and looking for a place to continue chatting about the games of Raven, you are all welcome to our forums.

Some of the information in those posts are the only documentation that exists for SOF2! You cant even add the latest changes to the source code to make your mod work with the gold edition without reading there!... How to add weapons!... all kinds of stupid little things like that, I can't believe it.

Hey foxhound -- yea someone at ravenites.com was able to get a database dump of the forum so I don't know how many people will actually come over here now, probably none. But at least the information that was on there is saved from destruction and they can go on like nothing ever happened. It's not like Raven employees were answering posts there anymore anyhow, and it affected a lot more than just the SOF community this time -- "typical" scenario for Raven?... nahhhhhhh the old Raven software would have just wiped the whole thing without even an announcement, this is the new improved Raven 9.0 with bleach, patent pending
