anyone know off hand the fx name for the lantern flame, having much trouble locating it, thanks, Rake

open up the prefab.map file and click on the red thing. press 'n' and see wat it says

Note, the spelling of lantern is latern (no "n" ) had me going for ages that one. lol

Same - had me kicking myself for ages. As long as you have maps/mp/_load::main(); in your .gsc, you can jsut drop the lantern prefab in and it'll work.

ok I did what you said Preacher and i got an error:

bad syntax: (file 'maps/mp/mp_swiggy_fx.gsc', line 4)

To run that small flame efx in your map you need two lines in yourmapname.gsc file

Code:
level._effect["fire"] = loadfx ("fx/props/glow_latern.efx");


Code:
 maps\mp\_fx::loopfx("fire", (997,1263,408), 0.3);


Notice I just happened to call it "fire" you can call it whatever you like

edit:- the set of figures in the second line (in the brackets) are the x,y,z coordinates for the effect)
