For those people interested in learning 3DS Max, 3DBuzz (3DBuzz.com) are offering their 3DSMax training course for only $99 during the christmas period (the usual price is $250).

The course comes on 2 DVD's and features over 100 hours of video tutorials. There are three main projects, 1 side project, and a mini-course about Adobe photoshop. That is $1 per hour for 3ds max training - where else can you get such value for money.

I already own the course, and I have to say that is amazing quality, and covers poly modelling and animation. Don't be fooled by the title "Fundamentals", completing this course will take you to an intermediate level. To get an idea of the projects, visit the site store and there are links to clips showing the completed project animations.

Usually I wouldn't post such a message in the forums here, but I think that it is too good an offer for fellow modellers to miss.

If I am treading on any toes here, I apologise in advance.

If anyone is considering the course, I believe they posted some low-res versions of the first part of the course on YouTube.

There are also some free videos on the site (Video training) which covers older versions of Max, Maya, and XSI.

I own the commercial Maya courses from the site as well (fundamentals, and Advanced Modelling) which are also excellent value but still full price.

I thought some potential modellers might be interested in knowing about the special offer (as I had to pay full price for mine!)

Well I'd certainly be interested, if I had 3DS Max. My college doesn't offer any courses in modeling so I figure I'm going to have to do something like this eventually.
