OK, i jsut bought my radeon x850xt agp card and im like, "cod fps will pwn". When i played with my radeon 9800 PRO, it was also 85. I expected AT LEAST 50 fps higher and it stays the same!!!!! any help??? i really want to try them 125 fps glitches lol!

What graphic setting in game are you running?? (Resolution, Dx7 or 9, etc???)

Have you uncapped the fps???

With x850xt i got DX9 durr... Settings:

I got everything at max settings.
Resolution 1280*1024


And how do you uncap FPS with Catalyst Control Center?

CoD2 is capped at 91 fps.

To uncap:

pull down console in game (~) type in

/com_maxfps 500 (enter)

Some poeple will say to set it higher but 500 is enough.

Dropping down to DX7 will give you the best FPS boost however.

I Think 125fps is alot better then 500 for COD and COD2 its got something todo with the engine

Isn't it bad to have too much FPS for a certain game. I remember reading somewhere that they cap it off because too many odd peaks in FPS could crash the game or your PC.

500 would be the max. You could set it to 300, 200 whatever.

Very few people will see 500 tho. I get 450ish only when looking straight up in the air. lol

I have a geforce 7900 and if I had to name a average FPS I get I would say it's 180-220fps.

Game runs great...no crashes, no problems....very smooth!

At least 10 others in my clan run that fps setting as well with no ill effects.

I think i my internet security is causing choppyness in game. It like lag,no lag,lag, no lag????? When i removed internet sercurity, it works fine. On admin, it works fine? It Norton Internet Security 2005. need help

Glad that helped. You might lower the max fps and see if that smooths the game...your cpu might be having a problem keeping up. Could be Cpu lag. Drop down to 300 max fps and see what happens.

If not, i know alot of people that disable those kinds of software when in game.

Within my own circle of acquaintances, I know of several disgruntled Norton owners and no happy ones.

Plays havoc with everything.
