It seems that weekends over at Valve (Steam) start early because today begins free Red Orchestra weekend. Along with that you can get discounts on many other WWII themed games such as a Call of Duty bundle. No purchase required... just download and install Steam if you already haven't.

Red Orchestra is a really great game, if you have'nt tried it already you should. The graphics isn't top-notch but the feel of the weapons and vehicles really makes up for it.

These free weekends Valve have going on is a great idea, I wish more developers could do this altough I guess it'd require something like Steam. They got me buying both Day of Defeat: Source and Red Orchestra!

I seriously recommend that people preload the game & take part in the free trial because RO is an amazing game... Its seriously underrated... The graphics are good without making low end PC's (like mine) choke, the gameplay & realism are second to none, & its pretty much the only game I've played that really needs teamwork to win... I wouldn't bother playing RO if your the sort of person who uses the word noob a lot (or phrases like boom head shot, hax0r, & pwned) though because thats pretty much asking to get kicked... If you like mature, realistic, fast paced WW2 games then you'll love RO...
