Hey, glad to see some euros are interested in comp custom maps too :D

I'm the guy that made tripoli and powcamp. Tripoli was used in CAL s3, and powcamp was used in both CEVO and the SOTF tourneys. I'd recommend checking them out if you're looking for comp maps.

Even better imo is the most recent map I made, although it hasn't been played in any leagues yet. It's called mp_eindhoven and you can find the beta version in this forum section.

Let me know what you think, all maps I've made were designed with 5v5 sd in mind.

@ LPRay: At the moment i have asked around the top teams what they would see as a good competative map.

basics would be:

-Not an ugly map
-Good gameplay (like 3 different attacks for each bomb) and the possibility to avoid choke points.
-FPS friendly


Then other points are:

-No foilage like snow / rain.
-Multiple entries from diffrent sides to the objectives.
-shouldn't be possible to nade from 1 spawn to the other.
-shouldn't be possible to see from 1 spawn to the other.
-No jumping on roofs.
-1 bombsite at 20 seconds sprint from allies spawn and the other bombsite at 30 seconds from allies spawn.


This somewhat sums up what i'm on about
If anyone is still interested, i am open for ideas

If any mappers are willing to submit their custom map into testing with us and also willing to do the adjustments required, then that would also be an option.

Its easy to find nice competitive maps. Just search at the right place. There's near 700 maps for Call of Duty 2 already released... I'm sure there's more then 2 or 3 competitive maps in all of them

i took a look through the www.codfiles.com files and found 4 or 5 maps that have the potential. rest wasn't wat we're searching for

maybe there are 700 maps but real quality map are less than 50... and in those maps, competitive maps are ??? . But I think there are

Learn to read right. I didn't said that all the 700 maps are competitive ones. Only that with a big choice like that, he could find some that are good for him. And your definition of quality doesn't mean its the same for all. There are maps for everyone taste. If you don't like a certain kind of maps doesn't mean that another one will not like it.
