ok, ive just started mappin for cod uo and im tryin tuts out. ive made a quick test map, with a teleporter, stukas that are ment to fly over, a mortar like wat micewars v4 has and a flakvierling.... but the only thing that works is the teleporter plz help

Hi Kill m8, your opening statement says it all. If as you say you have just started mapping then forgive me for saying this but wouldnt it be better to get the mapping skills sorted before going into the more complex area's such as scripting.

However if as it would appear you need help with getting stuka's to fly by, mortar's to work and a Flakvierling then you have come to the right place but you will have to give ppl some more info with regards to just "how" things are not working, You also need to post things like your scripting, .gsc etc.

i can map alright, but i just want some extra things. i gave a link at the bottom of my first post, its a zip with every thing in it to do with my map. wats wrong with them:
Stukas dont fly over
i cant use the Flakveirling, i just walk through it (yes, its 1 of those collmap probs i think)
and the Mortars dont work cuz i sort of guessed how to do it (gsc is fine for it, i got that from the micewars v4 witch works, i just dont know how to 'trigger' it)[ohwell]

About the minefields, there is a minefield tut. on this site(if you haven't already read it), it tells you how to do the mapping part of it and also gives you a working script.

The mortar does not work because you have the mortar named with caps in the map file but not in the script.
Also the mortar and target have the same targetname, The script has a different targetname for the targets
There is only one target .... Getentarray is call out for the targets so you need more than one. You also have
sound issues that need to be taken care of. your maps .csv is not called from the .csv in the soundloadspecs folder.
Most of your sounds are not specified in the .csv in the soundaliases folder.
The Flakvierling does not work because your collmaps folder is not where it needs to be in order for the collmaps
to be added during compile.

thanks, i didn't know it was caps sensitive, i looked in the gsc for the mortar and realised wat i did, and i didn't know that i had to copy the collmaps from main to the uo collmaps, and last of all, i know about the sounds, haven't bothered doing that yet [rocking][rocking]
