Hi id like to know if there is any measurements in hl1 hammer because if like to remake a map to source version. Knowing the measurements of walls etc would goo a lot faster but when i look at hl1's hammer there are none and in source's hammer you can clearly see them.

this is a good question ... I have tried to find the answers myself but couldn't locate anything on the usual mapping sites. I wanted to recreate some of the original Day of Defeat Maps for Source.

The only solution I could come up with (as an approximation) was to run (or walk) across a specific line in the map and time it. Then repeat the same in the source map so the scales would be similar.

That's actually how Counter-Strike (for HL1) asked for maps to be made. They defined how long it should take to run from any point in the map to the defusion zone.
