It would be nice to have a tutorial explaining how to make the terrains (grounds), adding hills, water space, etc... Like the one in Dutch already in the tutorials [rocking]

No time to make one but heres a start:

Make a large brush.
Goto Patch -> Terrain Mesh
Select any grid you want, I suggest 9x9 for now.
Once highlighted and meshy, press "v" to edit verticies.
You may click and drag as you please to makek a hill, dip, or stream.
To add water fill the would be stream with a brush and select the water texture.

There are many things to do with terrain like alpha blending layers and large terrain editing.

To edit large terrain highlight the mesh(s) and hit "y". Just play around here on a testmap, theres isnt much to it by just looking at it so you'll figure out the basics. Once you learn it, it is an invaluable tool to have for smooth terrain and alpha blending, become familiar with it.

Remember, don't just look at COD2 tutoorials, it is the same editor as COD and CODUO, read those too and it will look very familiar. As my time is limited right now I'm assuming you also know the basics of brushs and your way around the editor. Good Luck.

There are several excellent tutorials in the tute section on terrain creation and alpha blending. I have used them extensively and get a lot of compliments on my terrain work. Check both the UO and CoD2 sections as the techniques are the same. Thanks to ModsOnLine for providing the resources for us noobs! Alt

i saw in one CoD tutorial that the CoDRadiant have a Terrain tool... i think its yeasiest to see our terrains and how that looks like.
in CoD2 that tool dont exist, so for me (and i guess for other ppl) that is complicated to see in radiant how that looks like. if i want to see the "grafic" terrain i need to test the map...
i dont know why they take out the Terrain tool![confused]

AmishThunder is working on the mod UnboundForces, whereas he has completed one futuristic map and is making another.

Exactly what Dragon said, glad I have a fan. I'm lead level design in UF (www.unboundforces.com) and I personally have completed monorail for it and working on an office map. Check it out and leave some love. Glad I have a fan :)
