I'm finishing up a map and have one last problem. I used some of the included models (xmodel/...) models for a background area (trees, shrubs). The problem is that they have no lighting applied to them. I have worldspawn set up and everything has lighting and shadows applied correctly EXCEPT the models that I imported. They just appear with full brightness (see: SS below).

Is there a variable that needs to be set on them or something that needs to be done at compile time? Thanks for any help.

try to change your compile "flare" options:

flare -extra -sundiffusesamples 10 -dumpoptions ..\..\Main\maps\yourmapname.map

Tried it and it still looks the same. Did take much longer to FLARE though, so it did do something. Thanks for the attempt.

I'll see if I can pick out a bad setting or error message from the console output. In the mean time, any other ideas?
