Gamespot (and a few other sites) are reporting that JT has successfully managed to obtain a court order requiring Take Two to provide him with a personal copy of BULLY.

I'll be interested to hear what JT has to say if all the reports of BULLY's non-violence are to be believed. I'm hoping that he will have the proverbial "egg on his face" after the review.
My only concern is whether this will truly be impartial. To be fair, representatives of TT/Rockstar and the ESRB should be present. Furthermore, there should be some independent viewers. I'm worried that JT will have no legimate complaints and will try to make claims that are simply not true.
It might seem prejudiced on my part but I simply do not trust the guy. |

Actually on reflection this may even be a positive thing ... if TT/Rockstar have been honest and there is nothing to complain about, then this could discredit future whines/moans/whinges from JT.
Incidentally, if I were TT/Rockstar, I would insist that both JT and the Judge involved, must play the game in it's entirety. That means all the quests, side quests, and mini-games. Plus they should play the game (again in its absolute entirety) on all the games difficulty levels (because, you never know JT, gameplay might just change with the different levels).
If they cannot do this, then any review they provide is based on an imcomplete play-through and has no more value than those provided by ISRB, PEGI, or BBFC.
Considering neither the judge or JT are gameplayers .... this could tie them up for weeks.
Maybe they should be forced to replay the game (in it's entirety) every time a patch or update is replaced !! ... I'm beginning to think we could really have fun with this ;)

this is completely wrong
there is no way that anyone (even the holier than thou "JT") should be granted any special rights to preview anything that the author doesn't wish to grant them
this isn't limited to video games, but television, books, moies, etc....it is legally a piece of intellectual property and owned by a sole proprietor...and until it is made public ....

He obviously just wants to play the game before everyone else so he can brag how great he is and that he like pwns bullys so much more than everyone else.
(tongue in cheek. The guys a prat. Buy it from the shop like everyone else!).
This guys obviously got way to much time on his hands. How does he pay for all this I wonder?

OK. Just went and read the artictle. Should have done it first. I'm sure the judge would have more pressing matters than spending hours playing a video game. Or would T2 have to provide a tester to play through the game for them? All the same. JT = Timewaster.
