Are there any disadvantages in buying a nVidea GeForce 7800 ?

I haven't found any disadvantages with those cards yet.

Now I did run into a strange problem, but I don't think it has anything to do with that video card model. I have two 7800 SLI cards running 4 monitors. Before my last reformatting, every was perfect. I reformatted this summer and now video playback on two of the four monitors (same video card I think) have trouble displaying WMV movies. Only Windows movies.. nothing else.

Like I said.. strange, but nothing that has prompted me to take the time and resolve the issue.

wow, how do you run them - i mean how many CPUs do you have?

AMD dual core 4200.
2 PCI-e geforce 7800 video cards (not in SLI MODE)

each card has two monitor outputs making 4 outputs total. Each goes into a monitor.

Now, I can't play Quake 4 on all 4 monitors as if it were 1 giant screen. hehe... I tried and it crashed a few seconds into the game. But hey.. it did load up and start the game.

However, I use it for programming and writing so I have more desktop space.

LOL would be cool to play on giant screen.

mate i just bought a laptop for my travels and it has a nvidea 7600 and it runs great i have no troubles at al i watch tv with it and also cod2 uo and 1 and also mapping ..mate i suggest to get it but at what price..
