E, I create my map ( I think so) and I save it. Somewhere i read that the neXt thing what I haVe to do is compile it. Now, IN WHAT FORMAT SHOULD BE COMPILED??? When I my map compile he creates me .settings file, and what I need to do neXt..... PLEASE HELP ME??

You just need to compile your map file with the iw compile tool.
Can be found in .../call of duty 2/bin/
It will compile your mapfile into a d3dbsp file.

I think the COD2Compile Tools is the thing what are ya tallking about. I have it, and I select map, (select - deselect lighting and bsp things, like its says in one of the tutorials) and press COMPILE and the black window is on my screen and in "BIN" directory I only find my map in .settings file format???? This is nooot goood, is nt is?? What I have to do, eXplane me?

In that black window when I press COMPILE says C/Program Files/....mp_matrix.db3bsp (or some ting like that...) could not open... WHYYYY???

my guess is that if you used the search function that is on this site you will discover that your error(s) are ALL common ones and have been answered before

my guess....check your .net version - but with you saying..."something happened and then something said something about something and did something..." well - there are a whole lot better ways to describe what is happening - or not happening than that. if you want help on these forums, you have to be willing to help yourself and provide us with clear and concise descriptions of what is occuring

When I want to compile my map it says, "could not open...mp_xxxx.db3bsp???????? Why? And when he compile it there is a .settings file, that is not good, isnt is?

then your map is not compiling...post your compile log

Hey GUYS, can ya read all this things above and tell me, does something missing??? I think that 2 .iwd files are missing, is that my PROBLEM in compiling?

ok - well - that is a good start - but it is not all of the compile log...

grab the .bat that i uploaded (called stryders modified compile .bat) and follow the instructions to install it

basically it will add pauses between certain sections of your compile process that will allow you to get all 3 sections of the compile log
