OK guys this might sound stupid but I am on my 2nd ever map and I can do sliding doors fine with no problems however, I need a gate that lifts up which I can do, my problem is that I only want it to be activated to go up with a button and come down with the same button!! I cannot get it to stay up coz it keeps coming back down!! [banghead] I have fiddled with the wait times etc.. but I cannot get it to stay open!!

So my question is how do I get a door to stay open after being activated with a button then close when you press the button again!!

You just need to set the "TOGGLE" value in the properties of the door[thumbs_up]

OK I have made the brush a func_door and opened up the settings, but all there is with tick boxes are: Crusher, Start open and X

How come there is no TOGGLE button coz I have seen it before on other doors?? [banghead]

Yes sorry - wrong answer

If "usable" does not work then I am not sure sry

The TOGGLE setting is only available in sofradiant not gtkradiant...[ohwell]

bloody hell there are so many versions of Radiant!! LMAO!!

I use the SOFSDK radiant (dunno what version that is) its the same version that is used in the Room101 and Room102 tutorial videos.

I tried just for the hell of it to tick the box with X next to it and it did sweet F all so I am lost!!

I did notice that there is a TOGGLE box when I make a train but not a door!! [confused]

SDK is pants for mapping it's better suited for modders. GTK 1.4.0 is best for mapping.

LOL ok AcE, what is the difference between the two versions?? There are so many I didnt know which to download!! LOL!!

The SDK is the actual set of tools that was used by the game designers for SoF2 where as the GTKRadiant is a level editor supporting multiple games and mods.

Which ever you pick they will work well enough for what you are looking for.
