Ive noticed Hl2 Mods for Dummies but i think his next project should be CoD2 Mods for dummies, because CoD2 is a known game and alot people play it so if you make that book it would buy more.

Not alot of mod interest for CoD2[sleeping], nor that much power to mod as in Hl2[sad].

Well.. one of the problems with CoD2 for dummies would be.... someone will have to pay him money to make it.. and if the makers of the "Dummies" series want one for HL2, then well....

It's not up to Foyle (well.. not totally).

I thank you for the vote of confidence. However, I think this may be my last book for a while. Two books in a row has really made for a very busy year. That's alot of extra work for anyone. I look forward to getting back to some other projects.

However, I am open to any suggestions on making some money producing dvd length videos for mapping and modding. I could do that on my own and I think it would be a little more enjoyable.

I agree with Foyleman. Doing these types of tutorials and other stuff for people that want to learn steals our valuable time. One reason people want the books, tutorials is to understand and make things easier for them. I stopped doing videos based on time/money.
I cost time to make these and in return for a while it seems fair. But, after a while it becomes difficult to keep up the work especially if people do not take the time to learn on their own.
It boils down to a cost/benefit analysis. It cost our time, while it benefits others for nothing in return.

just my 2 cents.

Game programming videos? Perhaps show how to make a simple RPG game.

3-D Buzz has programming videos, but doesn't focus on gaming, more so fundamentals and basic programs.

There comes a time when we have to slow down and smell the roses ... or in our case, relax. I have to agree on all the points above and have also thought of the video tuts on dvd but with real life you just don't always have the time you want.

BTW Hello there Wyatt good to see you again.

Cheers
