i am working on a map that someone has made and they used external programs to make the ground. the thing is that inside a large portion of the ground, there are caulk bricks that don't touch the outside. so the player will never see them. the ground is made of many triangular peices. my question is, does the compiler take time to put those caulk pieces in there. if i go through the ground and delete all the caulk peices that don't need to be there, will the map compile faster. will that make the file size smaller. or is caulk so insignificant that it doesn't matter if i leave them or delete them.

Caulk is rendered as 'invisible' so this will not effect compile time.

probably from easygen...but ya, the caulk doesnt get compiled, but whenever i tried to use easygen terrain(the triangles) it wont let u cuz they are so far off the grid(well atleast for uo, never tried it for 2)

it seems to work fine for cod2.. i was just wondering if caulk contributed to the file size at all. it would seem no.
