Jump into the cockpit and get ready for the Flight Simulator X single-player demo! Whether you are a first time flyer or an experienced pilot, you'll be able to choose from three different missions to test your aviation skills.

Explore the Caribbean islands in a Beaver float plane or take on a mission dropping sacks of flour from an ultralight glider and experience flying like never before!

The demo will feature the location of St. Maarten in the Caribbean and include 2 airports and 3 missions of progressing difficulty.

Screenshots

The demo will be available on the 10th August 2006.

I'm actually a fan on the Flight Sim games. I usual just join in with friends online, which is pretty fun. So I am looking forward to this demo. Whether I want to pay the £50, 2004 was that much, I am not sure. I will probably end up buying it online for cheaper.

But hang on a second... I thought FSX required Vista to run so surely it would be the same for the demo... :S

Yeh. This has turned into more of a serious sim, so if you want to play serious, I think needed a decent joystick is needed. I know mine is ok, but I know peopel that go all out with tail pedals, throttles and joysticks.

Don't forget the throttle:

I have all Microsoft Flight Simulators and it is real fun.

Some nice links for add-ons:
