Is it just me or did they copy/paste their rules from the Modscon06 contest rules page?

Forget them! They want a copy of the .map file... No way.. I like my maps to remain mine.

Marlow. Almost any competition to do with mapping will need you to hand over the .map file. Your maps will get judges from a playing point of view, as well as a designing point of view.

Your map will still be yours, and they don't hand it over to anyone.

Yep .. me too ... I'm just waiting for the poll to go up to determine whether the comp is for CoD2 or Quake 4.

although I am tempted to look at Modbase ... well it's all practice right???

Weet je wat? Je moet wel nederlands spreken/verstaan om dit site te lezen. Ik zie geen engels link. Jammer voor de meerderheid (denk ik) maar het maakt het niet uit als je toch in de Benelux woont.

Modbase is based in belgium and the site is in Dutch/Flemish and I don't see an obvious link for english. Luckily I live in Holland so it's not a problem for me but I think other members may struggle a little bit.

The mapping contest part is in english, so why are you talking about the dtuch?
You don't need to read the dutch tutorials or news if you want to participate with the contest [crazy].
