Sounds like you are describing the HOM (Hall of Mirrors) effect. This happens when a texture is not properly placed somewhere and you can into the voidness outside of your map.

- Make sure you compile your map using FullVis
- After you compile the map, check the editor console to make sure there are no errors
- test the map without the editor in the background (in case you are trying the map while having the editor open)
- Also, take a look at the optimization tutorials.

First, I am assuming that you have compiled your map by running the BSP command.

When you compile your map to turn it into a playable level, there are often different compiling options available (BSP). Do not select any BSP compiling options that has FAST and VIS in it. This will compile the map quickly, but it will not do it well.

You should see a message window come up with you compile your map for playing. This message window will display in text all that is going on during the compile. Scroll through it and look for anything that looks like it might be an error. Errors usually have * next to them.

Finally, there are tutorials on this site (video too) that show you how to optimize your map. Check them out.

I hope that helps.

Hey Foyleman zup body!!.
Hey nice optimization tutorial, but still nothing about mirrors reflection. I have the same problem, I just have a black square in the wall instead a mirror, and the mirror video tutorial doesn't explain anything else, just say that it is a simple texture "textures/common/mirror" thats it, nada, nothing, etc.
What is that compile metod that you are talking about "FullVis"?

Any help will be appreciated it.

Thanks

I wasn't talking about making a mirror in the game. I was talking about an error called the Hall of Mirrors (HOM). This is when you see the same image streaking across the screen endlessly like a hall of mirrors.

there are several ways to compile your map. When you go to BSP your map, make sure to use the FullVis option and not the FastVis. If you have compiled your map and you still dont know what I am talking about... then what editor are you using? perhaps that's why you don't know the difference.

The actual mirrors in the game... geez... it's been a while since I was in the doom editor. I know I did make a mirror for test purposes.
Check this out for mirrors: http://www.doom3world.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=4474

I've followed that tutorial already, and all that I got is a reflective mirror but only when I get really close, if I move little bit back, it turns black. Do it need light beside the one in the bathrooom? or something like that?

And the Editor that I'm using is the one builded into the game.
Let me know if you need some pics from tha game to explain what I'm talking about.
