I haven't found it in the forums yet, but I'm trying to make a map for HL2 Single Player and for some reason when the map loads I have no interface and I can't switch any of the weapons. Anyone have an idea of what's the problem or have experienced this problem before?

you might consider uninstalling any mods you have. They could be interferring. Generally, a map wouldn't cause this problem.

Another possible problem is that you may have created a single player map but have loaded it into a multiplayer game type server. Since there are no spawn points for you, you are unable to spawn in the game. When in the map, does it seem like you are a player or rather that you are in spectator mode?

Well I used the HL2 AI tutorial because I have never used AI and the map is just a small room like the tutorial. When the game loads it loads in HL2 single player so I know it's not a multiplayer problem. I also made a spawnpoint for a player to move around in and I can shoot the weapons. However, I do have some MODS on which might cause a problem I'll try that out and see. Thank you!

Maybe you just forgot to place an “item_suit” in the map. You won’t have an interface and you can’t switch weapons without one.

No I put that in too idk whats the matter. I took all of my mods off and everything. I don't know if it might be a configuration problem or something but if anyone has experienced anything like this please help. Thank you for all the input.
