Call of Duty 2 HQ sat down with Grant Collier of Infinity Ward to discuss the rumors and facts that surround Call of Duty 3. CoD2HQ even got some juicy tidbits about something else...

"...while Treyarch is preparing the release of Call of Duty 3 for next-gen consoles, Infinity Ward has been hard at work on Call of Duty 4!"

.. and some harder hitting questions...

"...I felt obligated to mention Infinity Ward's history with SDK's and editing tools for their games. Historically, Call of Duty has had rather limited mod tools associated with its titles..."

I just hope to god that CoD doesn't go all modern on us... The pacific in WW2 would be great, as would Korea or Vietnam... Also, if I see another grenade indicator, death indicator, or low health warning im likely to lash out violently...

Hopefully COD4 is still a year away. I'm still enjoying all the COD series. Its obvious still speculation where COD4 will go.

As others have voiced, I too hope they don't go modern/futuristic - I have Battlefield 2 for a quick modern blast- I always come back to the COD.

Some news is beter than no news. Interesting comment on the Multiplayer side of things. Time will tell what they mean by it.

Hahaha, I like how he says community support is limited by their manpower.

The developers behind Red Orchestra not only managed to release their game, but to update it several times with patches, as well as visiting the forums and communicating with the community on a daily basis. Not so with Infinity Ward.

Oh, and Scooby, people won't pay $50 for an expansion. That's why they're pushing more individual games out.

Hehe People and there dislike of the grenade indicator. That grenade indicatior made it more realistic because normaly in war you have you friends yelling, "GRENADE!!" So the indicator wasn't all bad. The new graphics put a big indent on modders, because now they have to get very high quality graphics to match the game. When people started taking out the indicators i got severily ANGRY[evil].

Anyways i really dont want CoD to go all modern. THeres so many great ones out there such as BF2, BF2, and BF2 Modern Combat :P

I still play CoD1 occasonily. My first fps shooter [cry]
