Am I missing something obvious? I've put in benzin.map in the hopes that shooting it will make the barrel blow up. Except it doesn't work.

Is it necessary for me to do the more advanced "exploding barrels" procedure, like the other thread by FlesyM, complete with triggers, script, etc, etc? I can do that but I'd rather not if I don't have to.

I simply want single barrels to be able to shoot and have them explode. I've taken a look at Ricta's barrel and it works fine except I can't get more than one to work. I've changed the trigger values, etc but still not working.......so now I'm wondering if the interactable benzin is the easy way to get the job done. But it's not so far for me.

Is there something 'special' that needs to be added to the interactable prefabs in Radiant??

That's what I've done, that's my point.....it doesn't work. I've dropped in the benzin prefab, but it doesn't explode when I shoot it. Do I still need to wrap a trigger around it or something? Ideas?

The interactable objects only work in singleplayer without anything else.
In multiplayer you have script it by your own.

and good luck at that. ask any questions you might have about it.

I'm guessing the benzin barrels would work in mp if you find the corresponding script, and translate it to mp.... I thought scripting my own was easier than searching endlessly for that. [wink]

I agree. Thx for your tut, I'll be adding them after my map is almost finished, they'll be used for "embellishement". It did get me thinking tho....I was toying with idea of using those principles and making a couple vehicles that could be "blown up" by a Panzerschreck in my training map[thumbs_up]

We'll see if I have the time, I'm up to my eyeballs in other script such as mortars-on-demand, airstrikes, secret combination locks, etc.[banghead]

Hopefully soon, within the next week or two. Am finishing up the other critical components to the map, this would be an "added bonus", but cool nonetheless.

Any ideas when you might be working on it? Any chance you could move your Canuck butt faster for a fellow Canuck now that hockey season is over?? LMAO[rocking]
