Are you sure the texture is a suitable size to be repeated?? I wouldn't use a small texture over a large area.

Also, there is no need for repeating threads for repeating texture questions!!! j/k... [devilishgrin]

Wait!! What did he mean?? I was noticing the same thing with grass textures-they all look like astroturf. I don't like the Natural and Fit functions for some of these textures in the SI. Praytell--What did you figure out?

that "problem" (which is not one) happens when you copy a brush and move it beside the original ... the texture gets copied as well. just reselect the surfaces, and reapply the texture. :) either that or the normal size for that texture doesn't fit the surface it's on. finally, often it produces nice results to play with the horizontal and vertical shift and stretch on the surface inspector window instead of the quick buttons. rotate also .... how many times did I see wood ladders that has textures not in the correct direction ?? (it doesn't look good ....)

well what i was doing was i kept copying the same brush over and over again, giving me that repeated texture. and since i couldn't cap the texture (something to do with the way i rotated the terrain mesh) i just made one giant mesh. i can't remember which function i used though. but if you notice your grass textures keep repeating then use cap. it works great for me. makes it look more natural.
