remove custom maps/mods from your main directory.

Im getting the same problem after Ive compiled my map



Cept I dont have any custom maps or mods in my main folder I do have a sepreate folder in C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2/82ndAB with custom maps, mods but its not in the main so do I have to remove that aswell and then recompile or is this there a different reason for this error Im getting?

Obrieski writes...Only non stock .iwds in main will effect things so you do not need to remove anything else. Your error looks like a typo in your .gsc, before you try to run your map bring down the console and type /set developer 1. Now start your map and it will report in the console which file contains the error, and then i will be able to see if it is from a mod or not.

It was the gsc file I had just copyed pasted the tutorial in cod2 tuts and I had to delete the fx part of it. Its working now thinks for the help
