Ok before I get started - I have read all tutorials - searched this forum and searched every forum I know of and experimented till the cows came home and left again.....I am not a noobie to mapping and I don't post a question lightly.

I am trying to place portals in the outdoor area of a large map - We took it from over 15 portal errors in tweaking it and got it down to 2 Brushes with T-Junction errors.

Within each portal the edges are beveled and where 1 portal adjoins another it if flat.

The bottom edges are abutted on top of caulk below the terrain.

Here are some images of this in a smaller scale and I have a sample map as well.

This is the overall outside portals looking top down - the tops are beveled to fit exactly on top of the walls so for demo sake I removed the tops. Portal No Draw and Portal are on the correct faces and the bevels are no draw as well.

This is giving us an error of a t-junction error of the junction of the walls between portal area 2 and portal area 3 and portal area 3 and portal area 4. They are highlighted as follows: The two walls on the lower right side of the 2d window.

I know we are creating a t-juntion by having the portals the way they are built.

I am at a loss of how to build them so this isn't an issue with large outdoor portals with out a structure relevant to build it off of.

Why would I do this - to reduce the vis of areas that we can't see from 1 to another.

Here is a small version of the portal map - this just includes the portals and is not to scale as far as the map it is for.
