i loaded my jump map onto my server and when i was loading it, there was an error.. it had somthing to do with impure iw32 or somthing.. so i couln't join. other people got different errors saying that an impure map in their main folder, so they couldn't join.. and a few people could load my map and were playing on it. and help?

Do you all have exactly the same version of the map?

i have had this error many times. sometimes it happens when your new map is clashing with another map in your main. the error would say invalid iwd files referenced. then i t would give you the name of a map. if you go into your main and delete that map, you should beable to get in... you also need to make sure that your map isn't missing any custom textures in the iwd.. but deleting the other map in your main will solve the problem.

I am struggling as well with invalid iwd files referenced. Our server has a map maker now (yes, in 2019!). We have hundreds of maps we use, packed into 70 iwd files. We run a PURE server.

The map maker uses only standard textures. However, when we load his map we get the invailid iwd referenced error. He deleted the referenced file, and another one was then found to be invalid. Did a third and another iwd was found to be referenced. He finally deleted ALL 70 of our map packs and it runs.

But as the host of our server, we cannot ask our visitors to deleted dozens of files in order to play one map.

My question is: WHY IS IT HIS MAP SEEMS TO BE REFERENCING MAP PACKS THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS MAP?

We found the solution. The map maker had been renaming his map after each adjustment he made. For example it started as mp_mapname. Fter a tweak, he renamed it to mp_mapname1. Etc. We found that by keeping the original file name, we we able to keep the map pure.
