Howdy all-

I've searched and gone through the tutorials but can't seem to answer these models questions:

1. What are the arrows for and do they need to be pointing somewhere specific? I was placing bunker_longpipe or something like that and when I rotated it to attach to the ceiling, the big white arrow was pointing out the back of my bunker. ???

2. In regards to above pipe and models in general, can they touch or overlap? Ex. in order to put long sections of pipe together, the ends did not match up when it was snapped to grid. I ended up placing the ends of the model in an overlap fashion.

3. Last (sry): How are the clip brushes to be placed on models, exactly? Surround the model box? the model itself? on the sides, top? you get the idea.

Thx All----

1) the arrows only really matter for like spawns and stuff...like which ever way the arrow is pointing, thats the way you will be looking when u spawn, but for like chairs etc, it doesnt matter.

2) i believe it acts like 2 brushes would if they'd overlap.

3) its up to you! if its a pipe, u can just make a square clip brush and have it just about touch all the edges and that'll work, for other stuff like cars or something, u can just make a few clip brush and use the clipper tool to make it closer the the car and closer to its shape

Thx Sarge!!

1. I kind of figured that... Thx for the confirm.

2. Ouch!! These models have 1 or more wireboxes around them that are, in some cases (like the pipe) a considerable distance from the actual model itself. Don't overlap?

3. I get it I think...trying to figure out how close to get them to keep folks from walking through as in the many other posts I've seen on the subject.
