so i have to buy one of them $200 sound cards huh? thats strange because i play CoD and CoDUO just fine and on top of that i played the CoD2 Demo just fine too. that never froze on me.

try lowerin sound quality to 'low quality' and if it freezes, then its not the sound card haha

tried that. there is only one more then i can think of to try that im gonna right now. im gonna make the hardware accerlater at no accerlation in my dxdiag thing.

Not too hard to find the drivers: http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us This isn't a guaranteed fix; but new drivers (and backing off to safe specs) are where you start... These all look like September 2005 updates.

yes, i have done that already. i have updated my graphics card drivers and even tried completly getting rid of my sound card. the only thing i havent tried is updated my BIOS because it has to do with flashing harddrive and such or whatever.

you must use directx 7... not the 9 is option in in- game-settings. edited on May. 31, 2006 07:08 pm by ClaireClaws

i thank everyones help. my game works now. i figured having that on Auto would help. and i had 9.0c so i set it to 9 but now its at 7 and it works. i just played for about 8 mins only so if when i play longer if i have probs i will come back here.
