Ok so im going to make a level right i get the editor loaded and all (following the tutorials on this site) after i load the textures when i go to draw it doesnt turn pink and say caulk all over it..... what am i doing wrong???

load the common textures, select the caulk texture, and then start your drawing of the brush. You must select the caulk texture first.

Now, if you did this and you still don't see it, what do you see?
Make sure you are not working the editor in multiple monitors. You can have multiple, but not edit in multiple.

Also, it could be a graphics issue. Tell me what you do see and we'll go from there.

When i start my drawing it is a redish when it is de-selected it is black.

This is indeed a video issue. Make sure you have the latest direct x installed (at least 9). Also update your video drivers. I hope that can help the problem.

Well..... I downloaded the latest version of direct X still aint working....

How do you suppose i update my graphics driver?
i got the normal one my computer came with and also another one that i bought it is a NVidia.

go to the nvidia website, support and download the latest drivers for your card.
