i have a map i want to show my friend online

i tried to make a .iwd file with pakscape, but i cant add them to my archive (in the tutorial, it says "rightclick and add to archive", but wen i right click there is no "add to archive"option, so i tried to drag the files into pakscape, but it said "error reading pk3 file")

can someone eiter help me or create the iwd file for me?

(i got downloaded pakscape off of filefront.com because winzip costs $$)

did i get the rite program?

since this is cod2 section i am guessing its a cod2 map?
well first off cod2 doesnt support pk3
secondly , pk3 is a form of archiving , so obviously when you right click it you cant archive it again

if its for cod/uo then just use the pk3 , if for cod2 unpack the pk3 and then put it into an iwd

Forget Pakscape. WinRar is the tool you need(for CoD2 at least and some say WinZip) . Make sure you have the maps, mp ,soundaliases,images and materials folders in your main. Highlight as many of those 5 as you can and right click. Then go to "add to archive" and select. In the new window check the "zip" option in the middle. Then rename up top to "mp_your_map_name.iwd" making sure not to forget to change the .zip extension to .iwd . Then go to your newly created .iwd file and open it with WinRar and add any missing folders from the main with the "add" button in the upper left hand corner. Should be it assuming your files are correct everything should work groovy. You can DL WinRar for free.

Open Pakscape
Click on File->New
Next drag your maps into the white area.
Save.
Rename the .pk3 file to .iwd and you're done

The soundaliases/images/materials folders only have to be added if your map actually used any of them (custom sounds, custom textures etc).

Do NOT use WinRAR for creating .iwd files. WinRAR creates files in a different format, causing errors on servers sometimes.

Really? I didn't know that Care. I've yet to have or get a report of a single problem from any of my maps as to that respect and all I use is WinRar for my .iwd files. But, I'll put that under my hat as good advice.
