hey, if you want fog in the whole map...you could make it a worldspawn (my map helper guy told me that):D

I have added the fog key to the worldspawn with no luck - I have added it and did a full compile using the sdk radiant with no effect what so ever.

I have also added it and compiled with q3map2 and have had mixed success - fog looks great but it washed out the textures and screwed others up - I have posted pictures - see the following post on this very topic.

You have actually made fog work. Cool. Can we now make fog in a specific spot? Say a courtyard or individual rooms.

umm i don't know about individual rooms and stuff like that, i just do a worldspawn and it fogs up the whole map, but it was [CE]Darkone's custom fog texture he sent me that i used. I don't know if its any different from normal fog, but it works :)

I'm pretty sure red was talking about gynec and his method of getting fog to work. As for the Worldspawn fog.....well......um...we knew about that method as it's been discussed before. ;)

So.....gynec does it work in specific areas?

I found out that the problem with several fog-brushes is that they must not lie one after the one because of the shiny surfaces. The fog-effect gets affected. So try with several brushes using the caulk-texture and make all to a func_group (could work)!
