i ve been working on a map for a while
suddenly after compiling
when i start the map i get this error :

Error during initialization:
G_ModelIndex: overflow

i assume this means i have too many models on my map
i have already deleted many
but am still getting that error

any ideas?

Did you add a prefab since your last working compile? If so, check to see if it doesn't hold any SP entities in there.

i had this error too, it has to do with the total number of different models you use, i believe the cod2 engine can only handle 256 different models at a time. so remove some models which appaer only a couple times from your map and recompile
