Hey again,

I created a simple map just to test out some water that basically consists of a terrain patch that ive edited, the clip_water with the texture on the top brush, a spawn, a light, and another small brush off to the side with nothing on it (i needed a structural brush). When I try to compile the map, it gets stuck on "building light transport" and then gives me a windows error...

Any ideas?

PS. Percentage complete doesnt even show up.

i have the same problem [banghead]

smaller maps they survive the very very slow progress of Building Light Progress but when the maps get a bit bigger n more completed it gets stuck at some percentage someone plz help us [cry]

which compile settings did you use?
Are you running any program while compiling (like Radiant)?

caretaker: nope not running a program during compiling and im using same compile settings as in the video tutorial Getting started



stryder: im not 100% sure what u mean but if ur trying to say i have to add actual lights well its in a skybox so that should give enough light, and i tried a map in a box, added some lights and same prob, i got through after a looong waiting time at compile ran it and no prob with the lights or skybox.

But im worrying bout the fact that he larger my maps get the slower the progress runs or eventually it stops during it [duh]

All of a sudden I am having the same problem, light transport stops at 99.1%[mad]

Would the vclog help? It is referenced at the end of the compile, so would it affect the lighting?
